Private School Polar Bear

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

Hey! My caption’s different/not up there! In this blog, I make an effort to put everyone’s submissions up as accurate as they can be. However, sometimes they can be deemed a little too inappropriate/long, and so are scrapped/cut down. (Think of it as the hipster Grandma censor. If you don’t want to show it to the cool Grandma, then it’s probably a little too risqué. But I try to put everyone’s up!

Why are some of the captions different? The ones that do not have a ‘Submitted by *link*!’ under them are my own, complete with my own commentary. Most of the memes that are posted are submissions and do not always represent the opinions of myself, the general public, or this blog.

How do I submit? This threw me for a bit of a loop myself. For now, use the photobucket link that’ll eventually show up in here (and hopefully on the submit page if that works) or the submit button for your caption, and I’ll put it up in the queue.

Just who are you? Katie, a 17 year old Canadian Private School student inevitably procrastinating on her work. :3

Why Private Schools? I’ve been going to one for 11 years, so I have tons of questions/misconceptions/quirks stocked up. I also love memes like Backstage Badger, Thespian Peacock & Performing Arts Peacock and wanted to do something along those lines, but it took me a moment to find something cool enough. XP

Why Polar Bears? They start with ‘P’, of course. And the fact that although they have a different pelt colour as opposed to the standard browns and blacks you usually have, they’re  not that different (ie: They don’t have wings, just like Private School kids aren’t a completely foreign species). But there are differences, like climate & diet (to an extent), and we’re not denying that - just embracing it. ^^ As well, Polar Bears are rather isolated in the colder climates of the world. The colder climate could be used as a metaphor for the harsher conditions in a Private School (more homework, stricter rules, etc), and that once we learn to live in our own ecosystem, we’re screwed for interacting in a more normal one (like Public School!)

Clearly this wasn’t just an animal that started with P. (Although that’s originally why I chose it… Then I made up some answers to go with it. XP)

Where’s Your Polar Bear From? My backyard, obviously. [/Canaderp reference.]
